Creative notes:
This sample copy embodies a sophisticated, sensory tone, suited to a high-end bakery that specialises in bespoke celebration cakes.
The opening hook immerses the reader in their own aspirations, compelling them to read on further. The chosen language is sensory and elegant, positioning maison sucré as a luxury brand.
* What's a CTA?
It's a 'Call To Action'. This is where we instruct the reader to do something, a crucial element of effective copywriting.
Sample 2:
Super sweet and not at all innocent.
No, not you—our cupcakes. Fresh every day, never frozen, and definitely not gone in one bite.
We’re not talking about dainty fairy cakes. We’re on about thick, deep, delicious beauties. Muffin-sized, stuffed to the brim and drowning in frosting.
And they won’t get squashed on your way home either, leaving you scraping that precious topping off the lid of a box. Each of ours is packaged securely in its own case, so just chuck it in a bag, it’ll be fine. Probably.
Want one? Our shop is open weekdays 9 - 5 and weekends 12 - 4. You can grab a tea or coffee with us too, so come and say hi, we don’t bite in daylight.
Need a big batch? No drama, we’ll need a bit of notice though. Get in touch to see what we can do.

Creative notes:
This sample copy is written for a cupcake specialist with a sassy, playful tone. Their cupcakes are an unapologetic indulgent treat, and their branding is bold and punchy, with the hint of a dark undertone.
The copy addresses customer pain points, meaning things that may bother or concern the buyer. The first pain point addressed is cupcakes being too small—descriptive language is used here to paint a picture of the brand’s stand out product.
The second pain point is cake topping getting stuck on a box lid. We've all been there and it's just annoying.
*The CTA (call to action) should always be positioned above the fold.
What's the fold? An invisible line that separates content the reader sees at first glance from content further down the page. If you have to scroll to see something, it's below the fold.
